Carbon Footprint Corporate-product-service

Control Union verifies our clients The corporate carbon footprint is the data (translated into gr of CO2 eq) of the activity of a company resulting from multiplying consumption by an emission factor during a specific time. With this data, our clients can measure the GHG emissions of their activity during a certain period of time.

Corporate, Product and Service Carbon Footprint Verification

At Control Union, we offer carbon footprint verification services at corporate, product and service levels, ensuring that organizations measure and manage their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accurately and in accordance with international standards.

    Corporate, product, service

We evaluate the total emissions of an organization in a given period, considering all significant sources.

We verify the emissions generated throughout the life cycle of a product, from the procurement of raw materials to its distribution and use.

We analyze the carbon footprint associated with the provision of a service, ensuring that the calculations are representative and reliable.

Carbon Footprint Calculation, Reduction and Offsetting

We verify that the calculations performed by the organizations comply with the methodology and standards chosen as a reference.

We analyze emission reductions by comparing data between periods (e.g., annual versus base year calculation), ensuring that changes are attributable to efficiency improvements and that data are comparable.

Reducing emissions should always be the priority. However, achieving zero emissions can be complex. Offsets make it possible to neutralize the carbon footprint through certified projects, ensuring that an organization’s activity, product or service is carbon neutral.

Compliance with the CSRD and ESRS E1

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requires companies included in its scope to measure and report their carbon emissions. In particular, the ESRS E1 / NEIS E1 (Climate Change) standard makes it mandatory to calculate and report the carbon footprint, including direct (Scope 1), indirect (Scope 2) and value chain (Scope 3) emissions.
