Control Union Medical Cannabis Standard GAP (CUMCS-GAP) es el estándar de certificación líder a nivel mundial para la certificación de cannabis medicinal. El objetivo de la norma es garantizar la mejor calidad y consistencia en la producción del producto.
Cannabis Medicinal
Un número creciente de países ha implementado marcos legales para el cultivo y uso de cannabis medicinal. En diciembre de 2020, la ONU reconoció el valor médico del cannabis. Como consecuencia, el mercado requiere un estricto cumplimiento de los sistemas de calidad y los procedimientos de cultivo, como el cumplimiento de directrices como las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas y de Recolección (GACP) de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Por lo tanto, la verificación independiente del cumplimiento por parte de terceros se está convirtiendo en una práctica común en la industria. El estándar CUMCS-GAP sirve como un manual práctico para las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas (GAP) de cannabis medicinal en cualquier parte del mundo y permite una auditoría objetiva por parte de auditores calificados.
CUMCS-GAP se ha comparado con el estándar de cannabis medicinal israelí (IMC-GAP) para alcanzar la equivalencia total. Por lo tanto, CUMCS-GAP es un programa reconocido y aceptado por la Agencia Israelí de Cannabis Medicinal (IMCA) – Ministerio de Salud, para todas las importaciones de cannabis medicinal a Israel.

At the end of 2020, medical cannabis farms in the following countries have been certified: Lesotho, Uganda, South Africa, North Macedonia, Portugal, Spain, Canada, and Colombia. Soon also farms in Uruguay, Australia and other European countries will be certified.

The scope of CUMCS-GAP covers medical Cannabis propagation, cultivation and post-harvest processes and is fully compliant with both the WHO and EMA GACP guidelines. Certified organizations will receive both CUMCS-GAP certificate and GACP compliance certificate for both the WHO as well as EMA GACP guidelines.
