The objective of this certification is to verify the traceability of the renewable fuel from the last certified step of the supply chain under any EC approved scheme, to the distribution and final consumption of sustainable renewable fuels (road, maritime and aviation logistics, use in electricity generating sets, etc...).
The traceability of the distribution and consumption of the renewable fuel must be verified throughout the entire chain of custody of the material in order to make a sustainable declaration of the renewable fuel and to verify that there is no double counting or other fraudulent use of the renewable fuel.
Therefore, Certification of the distribution and use of renewable fuels can be granted individually to different companies that participate in the value chain and distribute or use the sustainable fuel, including, among others, logistics companies and end customers in the use of the renewable fuel.
The scheme is developed in accordance with to the principles of EC approved schemes for RED II compliance.
